Christmastime 2009

Merry Christmas! We've had a nice time celebrating the birth of our Savior with my family in Phoenix. We miss Josh, Jake and Sarah very much and can't wait to have Christmas with them (hopefully!) next year! But being in Arizona has given us a neat chance to visit some dear friends like the Sulaver family and my dear friend from first grade on, Mi Tran. Mi just returned from a two-year Peace Corps tour in Morocco, so it was a joy to visit with her and welcome her back home.

We celebrated with the extended family on Christmas Eve afternoon so that my brother Jake could be with us before he left for work. Aside from the normal family fun, we had some excitement spotting a common black hawk in our backyard and taking a walk down the road to see a house that has a deer refuge. Christmas morning was spent with Grammy, Papa, Grandpa Joe Cicchinelli, Raleigh, Shane and Gentry. It was cozy special and Jack loved his presents. He also loved Mommy's big pancake spatula!

We send our love to all of our friends and family members far away in Qatar, Texas, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, Italy, Germany, Nebraska and so many other places! God bless you all!
