Arriving in Dover, Delaware was a unique experience. After having lived there for four years, everything was very familiar...but being away for three years made it seem almost surreal. We were so glad to be able to spend good time with our friends Jenny, Katie and Casey Desaulniers. Katie and Casey's dad is deployed to Qatar, where Josh is. Jack and Casey were immediate friends and enjoyed doing almost everything together.

Jack and Katie had a practice Easter egg hunt to get ready for the real thing! Jack enjoyed dumping out the eggs and putting the basket on his head.

Katie asked her Mom to hop like the Easter bunny, so she happily showed Jack how to do the same!

On our last day with Jenny, Katie and Casey, we went to Bowers Beach to play in the sand and enjoy the Spring weather...except that it was a little colder than we had thought! The kids really enjoyed it, though.

On Friday night, Jack and I were able to attend the Good Friday service at our old home church, Camden Bible Fellowship Church. It was so nice to recognize so many old friends and see my old Sunday School students! They all loved Jack!

Jack enjoyed Mr. Syd Swann, who played with him in the nursery and then entertained him at Chik-fil-A afterwards!

And he was also entertained by Steven and Matthew Swann.

When we arrived in Whitehall, Pennsylvania with our dear friends the Schmoyers, we were able to attend an Easter egg hunt at their church. Jack ran out onto the field before it started, but then was content with just a few eggs.

The best part of our Saturday was making a special resurrection roll with the kids. Rachel gave each kid a big marshmallow, which represents Jesus. Then, they each wrapped Jesus in the cloths - a crescent roll. The rolls went into the oven - the tomb - and when they came out....Jesus was gone! The cloths were left and Jesus was risen! A great way to celebrate the real reason for this special holiday.

When we were in Germany, Theresa Diemer bought Jack this dapper Easter outfit! He looked so handsome!

Jack looks like he could just blend right in as one of the Schmoyers....he is really enjoying his time with his five new friends: Nathaniel, Evelyn, Caroline and little Molly. This is at the beautiful sunrise service at Bethany Bible Fellowship Church, where Tim is the head pastor.

After two Easter services, a continental breakfast and an hour in the nursery playing, Jack was wiped out!

On Tuesday, Tim's day off, we all went to Easton, PA to see the Crayola Factory and Museum! It was so neat and the kids really enjoyed the hands-on activities available.

A sidewalk chalk exhibit...

An area to write on a glass all with markers....

And an area to make things with modeling clay.

On the outside of the building was a huge crayon box sculpture...the kids thought it was really neat!

Then, we had a nice picnic lunch with our tired kids! We sat alongside the Delaware river and afterward, drove across the bridge to New Jersey so that Jack can now say he has been in 19 states! It was a great day.
Only a few more days until we are in Ohio and our almost six months of journeying come to a close. It has been so neat to see so many places and more importantly, visit and reconnect with so many dear friends along the way. I have realized that traveling now is enjoyable because of the people we get to be with...not just because of the sights you get to see. I know Jack won't remember all of this, but he certainly will have lots of photos to look through when he is older. Thank you to all of you who have prayed for us, encouraged us, hosted us or befriended us along the way! We have so many good memories....and now we are ready to get home to Barb and stay put in Ohio for a while, getting ready for Baby #2 to arrive!
Love,
Kam and Jack
