Well, our time on Kaua'i has come to an end. What a wonderful fifteen months this has been!! Truly, a happy, happy time in our life as a family. We will always treasure these months and memories - George's home birth, hundreds of trips to the beach, dear friends, endless summer, swimming with sea turtles and so may other things!
We've been spending the last few days really soaking up our beach time and sunshine. Josh and I have had fun with an underwater digital camera and snorkeling - the variety of fish and sea life is just astounding! We've included lots of pictures here - maybe too many - but each fish is so unique and is such a testimony of God's creativity, we had to include them! (The first two pictures are not ours, but are taken from online - but we wanted you to see the Hawaiian state fish: Humuhumunukunukuapua'a - the reef triggerfish and also the beautiful parrotfish. There is a picture of one we took later on, but not as clear as this one. The colors are almost neon - spectacular!) A highlight for both of us was being able to swim with the endangered green sea turtle. We've normally just seen them sunning on the beach, but to see them swim and eat and look curiously at us was something special.
We've had our taste of winter and Christmas, Hawaiian style! See if you can spot things like a huge ponsettia tree growing in our neighbor's yard, Jack making "sand angels", Josh making a sand snow man, Jack enjoying hot chocolate on a brisk morning of 65 degree weather, and a beautiful Christmas tree made of driftwood and shells at our ladies church Christmas brunch!
We will really miss this beautiful place and our dear friends. We have enjoyed every moment of it and hope to one day return. But we also look forward to Christmas in Arizona and the new adventure God has waiting for us as a family! Please keep us in your prayers, as we pray for you.
Mele Kalikimaka!
-Josh, Kam, Jack and George

such a wonderful adventure, can't wait to see where to next! Although Jeff wishes you were in Hawaii longer so we could have visited (but that would have taken 10 years! :))
Truly a piece of Heaven on Earth! Pictures don't begin to do it justice...so glad I got to see it with my own eyes. What a blessing!
those pictures are priceless. I especially like the ones of jack and josh jumping off whatever it was together! I am also sad that I was never able to visit :( But excited to see where you're headed next!
