Farewell Las Vegas!

Well...we never have a dull moment around the Meyer house!  We have a lot going on in the next few days and we most likely won't have much time to post on the blog.  But we wanted to do one last post on our final night in Las Vegas.

Yes...we are moving...again!  But only a few hours away, where Josh can still commute for his job here.  We bought a home in Parowan, Utah.  It is a lovely, charming, older home with loads of character, good climbing trees for the boys, a yard with grass and a garden and green house and settled in a small town (population 2,800) with an old-time feel.  Yes...this is going to be a place to put down some roots!  A place to raise some boys!

Here is a video montage of the photos we took on our first visit to the house back in September.  We've already closed on it, but will move in on Friday!

And if that was not enough excitement...we also got our travel dates to go bring our Toby home and we leave this weekend and will be meeting our boy on Thanksgiving Day!  It has been such a fast process, but we are so grateful it has been.  Toby needs to get out of that orphanage.  He needs to feel the love of a family and the love of his Savior!   We are coming!  We are bringing the three little boys along with us for the trip, so we cherish your prayers for us as we travel and face such massive transition in the next few weeks!

Here is another video for your viewing pleasure...something we put together early in our adoption journey to capture the wonder we've felt at how God has been orchestrating this for so long...even before we knew who Toby was.  He was made for our family and we cannot wait to bring him home!

While we may not get around to updating this blog...we will do our best to keep our adoption blog updated as we meet Toby.  Please feel free to follow along at Toby Our Treasure.

As we leave Las Vegas, I wanted to say that this has been a good place for us in the last 10 months.  We've formed deep, lifelong friendships.  We've had a tremendous outpouring of support for our adoption.  We've grown as a family in new ways.  I never expected any of this when I first learned we'd be moving to Las Vegas.  We will treasure the memories of our time here...but oh how we look forward to making new memories in our new house and town!!!

Now...off to finish packing....
