On Saturday, September 13th...as Hurricane Ike was brewing just a few hours southeast of us...we had a beautiful day without a drop of rain. We decided to take a short road trip to Pedernales Falls State Park, just a little north of where we live. We saw some great views of God's beautiful creation. And...of course Josh got his traditional action shot in!
Though the park is named for the river falls, we decided as a family that it is REALLY named Pedernales FALLS because at one point, three out of four of us slipped on the slippery rocks and landed right in the water. First, it was Kamie.... (who has decided to forego such adventuring until well after Jack is born!)
Then it was Jake's turn... And finally, Sarah!
We were wet and sandy...as well as hot, sweaty and exhausted as we made our way back to the truck. But...it was a day of good memories!

And finally, to add a smile to your day...we're including a picture of Annabelle. Last week, we received two baby quilts for Jack, made by some of our dear friends. The quilts were folded on top of the bassinette changer and Annabelle decided to nap on them. Kamie caught her mid-yawn...which actually looks more like a terrifying screech!

More later! Hope you are all doing well! We love you!
