Happy Birthday Terry!

Today is my father-in-law's birthday. We all wish we could be with him to celebrate...and to help encourage him and show him our love as he sits in a hospital room in Ohio. He has been very ill recently and it has been harder than ever before to be so far away from our Ohio family. Please pray for Terry. He is a wonderful man, a loving grandfather and has been very special to me. He's a huge man with a huge love for learning and life and he has taught me many things. He's taught me to be more aware of the natural world around me...he is the one who drew my attention to bird-watching. He's taught me about farm life and literature and all sorts of things. One of my favorite things about him is his booming voice! When we are at the farm and I am upstairs, I can always tell when Terry's come in from outside...his voice shakes the house. It is best when he is singing! This picture was taken in May 2005, when I was in Ohio by myself for Lasik surgery and got to spend great one-on-one time with Terry and Barb...just one of the many times they welcomed me as part of their family, even before I was married to Josh.
Three generations of Meyer men. We were so grateful to get to see Terry in November, when they came for Thanksgiving. Jack was only two weeks old...but he got to have a few hugs from his Grampa Terry.

We love you, Terry...Dad, Grampa. Happy Birthday. We are praying for you!
