Mr. Independent

Jack is taking big strides to be a BIG boy! (He still takes a few steps back to be Mommy's baby, too, though!) The night that Jake and Sarah left, we set up Jake's twin bed with a bed rail and Jack's Thomas the Train blanket and he slept through the whole night! He's been sleeping there ever since and seems to prefer having his own space.
Jack also loves to pick out his own outfits in the morning. Usually, this means mixing his Thomas swim trunks with something - on this day, it was a different swim top, his frog galoshes and a newborn pacifier he found in a drawer! :-)
He has also learned to fall asleep more with other people than Mommy. On this afternoon, he crawled up with Grandma and fell asleep on her bed! This is something we are excited to see happening as George's due date approaches!
And....he is potty training himself...letting us know when he has to use the bathroom! Just kidding...I think that won't happen for a while...but I had to include this adorable picture of him! :-)
We love watching Jack grow and learn each new day. What a blessing to get to soak up all of these moments and encourage him to be a big boy...and soon a big brother!
