I think this is the farthest behind I've ever fallen on blog posts...especially with so many new things to update! But with a quick move, a 2,000 mile drive cross country, a trans-Pacific flight and lots of details to get worked out...I'm sure you all can understand the delay!
Most of you know that Josh got hired as a firefighter at the Navy's Pacific Missilie Range Facility in Kaua'i, Hawaii. It is such an answer to prayer...a good job for Josh in a place we already know we love, since we honeymooned in Kaua'i in 2006. The timing was perfect too, because if it had come through any later, I would have been unable to travel with him. Baby George is growing rapidly as we near his October 24th due date. Here is the traditional photo of me at 35 weeks while we were in Phoenix, AZ visiting my family.

We were so grateful to have the chance to spend two weeks in Phoenix before heading to our new tropical home. We were amazed to see the growth and development of Tessa and Mia, my adorable nieces. Here is the shot we took of the three cousins at Jack's 1st birthday last November and then a similar shot we took at Mia's first birthday party on September 18th. What a change!

We had a great time celebrating Mia's party and took a family photo....but too many people were missing to really count it as a full family shot. Missing are: Meredith, Jeff, Luke, Ben and Grace, Gentry, Jake and Sarah, and Keala and Shane. What a picture it will be when we can all get together!

It was an added blessing to be able to spend some time with some of the other Kerger cousins - Shelby, Tess, Richard and Jolene, the wonderful kids of my step-sister Keala. Jack latched on to them in no time and he and Richard were basically inseperable!

The flight to Kaua'i was a non-stop 6 1/2 hour journey...not bad considering Jack has already been on flights totalling over 14 hours before! He was amazing and was complimented by many fellow travelers on his great behavior. He was happy playing with his cars and coloring...we are so proud of our little traveler. Once arriving in Hawaii, Jack's traveling track record has reached: 25 states, 4 countries, 3 continents, the Pacific and Atlantic oceans and the Persian Gulf. Not bad! George isn't far behind if you count the places he's been in utero! :-)
We are so happy to be back on Kaua'i - it felt like coming home. The Lord has arranged everything perfectly...we spent a few days looking for appropriate housing (which tired all of us out, especially Jack as seen in the following photo) and found a quaint house to rent that is available immediately. More pictures to come of our new home.

We also had a chance to meet with my midwife and meet some other young moms at a pool party she hosted at her house. Jack blended right in testing out his skills on a boogie board in the pool. He loves it here! He loves the sand and watching the waves.

We haven't had much access to the internet, so once we are settled we will post some more photos of our new life in Kaua'i. Thank you for all of you who have been praying for us and have sent encouraging words as we made this journey! It means so much to us!
Mahalo!
Love,
Josh, Kam, Jack and George

Way to go Jack... Next step will be the surf board. Glad everything is going smoothly for you guys. Can't wait to see the new house.
I hate having you guys so far away, but I am happy things are getting settled. Don't forget to rest missy and take care while Baby George is still cooking! We miss you guys.
