Most of you may remember our post in November about "adopting" a boy from Ecuador, through Compassion International's Child Sponsorship Program. Since then, Juan has become a special part of our family...his picture up on our fridge and out at prayer times, with all of us praying for him and loving him. We've received one letter so far....but just recently received this new photo of our Juan, proudly showing the gifts he received with the extra funds we sent for his birthday. It meant so much to us...and I hope it moves your heart, too. His letter said, "Now I want to thank you very much for the gift you sent me. I will keep it in my heart."
Sponsoring a child, indeed, blesses that child in a nation where they may never have the opportunities to thrive and learn and become all God intended them to be. But even more so, we believe that it blesses those who choose to sponsor a child. We don't know Juan, but we love him deeply and are praying that we may have an oppoturnity to take a family trip to see him one day. If you haven't already, please consider sponsoring a child throughCompassion International or another worthy organization like World Vision , Food for the Hungry or Mercy Projects.
