Our Little Friends at Siloam

After a night full of one of the biggest and longest-lasting thunder/lightning storms we've ever experienced (Josh saw at work that there were over 500 lightning strikes on the island and in the surrounding sea), we had another wonderful time of worship and fellowship with our friends at Siloam.  I find that when we are away from these little ones for more than a week, I really begin to miss them and can't wait to hug on them again!  The boys must feel the same way, because they played hard all morning long and George was uncharacteristically outgoing and smiley the whole time!  Here are some cute photos to continue to give you a taste of what our Sunday mornings are like!

Five year old Rachid - so dear.  Very animated...and he speaks whole conversations in Dutch to me and gets frustrated when I can't respond, so he speaks louder and faster!  He and Jack play really well together.
Once I took the camera out, Rachid wanted to be in most of the pictures!  Here he is with little Desi, also five years old.  Desi has some significant motor delays, so she wears a helmet to help protect her head when she falls down.

Desi is a sweet, quiet little thing.  She loves to play "babies" with me when I come, tenderly rocking her doll babies and putting them inside the play houses or setting out cups and plates to pretend we are having  a meal.

Everyone loves Georgie, or "Baby" as they call him.  He is the first one the kids all rush to greet when we arrive!

George, like Jack, especially loves Sebastiaan, the grandson of our missionary friends.  You can tell he is the older brother of little ones, because he plays really well with our boys.

Two and a half year old Levi...never too far from my lap or Georgie!  The older girls at Siloam like to braid his hair and it is always in some new style when we come!

Our Jack is usually eager to play with the kids and run around with the boys.  Our last time at Siloam, he was in an introverted mood and just wanted to go home....so it is nice to see him laugh and play and really interact with these kids!

Two and a half year old Sharon, another grandchild of Herman and Bep, adores George.  She lovingly follows him around and helps protect him when the bigger kids get a little too close.  Her brother, Sebastiaan, only knows English phrases from cartoons and TV, and he breaks out with some things that make us laugh.  Today, as he watched his little sister follow George around, he said, "Hi, Sweetie! Come here, cupcake!"  It was really funny!

Levi and Desi...the two who seem to cling to me the most when I am there.  We love these little ones and hug on them as much as we can while we are there!

Levi...adorable.
