Our newest little one is now a month old! It is really hard to believe...even though this has been a tough month and some days have seemed very, very long. Early on, we knew that something was not quite right with Joe and he seemed to be in a lot of pain. With some research online and confirmation from a wonderful doctor, we realized Joe is suffering from severe Gastroesophogeal reflux disorder (GERD). Thankfully, we now have medications to help alleviate some of the pain, although this is something he'll battle for at least the first several months of his life. We are grateful for the help we've received from the pediatricians and from the prayers of family and friends, which have kept us going during the most difficult moments. It is a terrible thing to see your baby, so new to the world, screaming in pain...with nothing to do to help. But, he is doing much better now and is able to spend more of his awake time in peace, observing the world around him, watching his big brothers and even smiling at Mommy!
We won't have a check up until he is two months old, so we aren't quite sure of his "stats" right now. However, we are pleased to see that he is definitely growing...chunking up, especially in the thigh area! He is wearing 3 month clothes and is almost into size 2 diapers. Going outside seems to calm him and he loves to look at windows or lights. He often falls asleep on Daddy's chest (as seen in the many photos in the montage.) When he is not in pain, he is a sweet, quiet, mellow baby. He sleeps fairly well at night, but is usually awake before the sun comes up, grunting and making it known that he would now like a different change of scene!
We are enjoying every moment (even the tough ones) with our newest blessing. He is a joy to all of us!

I am not sure how you do it Kam, but where in the world did you find such a PERFECT song for that sweet baby boy of yours?? His pictures are so adorable...even the very sad crying ones....the more I stare at him, the more he looks like a combination of both Jack and Georgie a bit...with Joe added in for good mesasure! What a precious threesome of Baby boys God has given you to love!! Hug and Kiss all 3 for Grammy, please??

The song and pictures are both beautiful! It is so funny how one moment I think he looks like Georgie while the next I think he looks like Jack. He is quite the perfect combo of the two. Miss and love you guys!
