Joe's Fourth Month

What a rough month this has been! We began it in the hospital, as you all know, and spent the rest of it recovering from the nasty RSV virus. A week after we returned home, Joe developed a bad ear infection. Then he had a reaction to his antibiotic, so his little body has been through the ringer. As a result, he has become extra clingy and wants to be held constantly. It is hard to oblige when there are two other little boys needing attention, too, and this Mommy has a bad ankle! He is still a sweet, loving boy, but is definitely coming into more of his own personality. He knows how to let us know he is NOT happy!

He still struggles with reflux and we are about due for a dosage increase. We'll check that out as well as his current stats when we go to his 4 month check up on Monday. He started out this month at 19 pounds, but lost 12 ounces during his sickness. He is awfully heavy, though, so I know he must have gained back the weight and then some!

He is wearing 9 month clothes and is inching his way into 12 months! He is smiley and vocal and loves to do tummy time on the Boppy pillow or sit upright so he can keep a close eye out on his brothers. He wiggles and kicks and tries to sit up on his own...so eager to join in the fun! Slow down, little boy!

He is so much like Jack and George - we have sub-zero temperatures outside, yet he is still hot and likes to have his legs/feet free of clothing!

Hoping for a healthier fifth month, and so grateful for the good care we received during all of his medical issues this month!
