"Snowmaggedon"

While our family members in Arizona basked in temperatures in the 80s, we here in the Ohio Valley (and in many other parts of North America) have had more snow and colder temperatures than most people can remember!  I read that someone had labeled this winter "Snowmaggedon" because of the unusual and persistent very cold winter weather.

Well...we are making the most of all this snow!  (It sure helps to have Daddy back home to inspire even more adventures in the snow!)

Snow sledding....which of course Jack just ate up!
Georgie was not a fan.  Who can blame him.  It was awfully cold at 12 degrees for our little Hawaii native!  :-)
Snow fort making, complete with snow bricks, tunnel and American flag!
Snow caves!
And...a particular favorite...snow ice cream!  We added a can of sweetened condensed milk to 10 cups of fresh snow and a splash of vanilla.  Delicious!
More snow predicted this weekend...so who knows what other fun things we can come up with?  (Even though he has enjoyed this, Jack asked the other day, "Mommy, when is Spring coming?"  I think we are all ready for a little warmer weather!)

What fun! Love the snow fort/caves! I agree, having Daddy around makes playing in the snow so much more fun!
