It is so nice to be back in Ohio and the on farm....where signs of winter remain, but signs of spring are already beginning!
Grandma Barb was thrilled to see the boys and they were thrilled to be back! After baths, Jack jumped right in bed with "Grammy Barb" to cuddle and talk before going to bed himself.
But there was one being who was NOT so thrilled to see us return.
Can you guess?
Oh, yes.
Don't ask us how, but the first groundhog Barb has seen all winter made an early-morning appearance in the yard. And Josh (a.k.a. should-have-been-a-Navy-SEAL) ran out in his pajamas to get him with the shotgun. It was quite an ordeal...and this is one groundhog who got some respect from Josh. After shooting it once from a distance, it ran toward the barn but the two barn cats helped keep it at bay. (This was a team effort.) So it turned and came toward Josh, hissing and clicking. Josh hit it with the butt of his gun a few times, shot it once more and it still fought. But in the end, the master groundhog killer was the victor.
After all, what would a trip to the farm be without a groundhog killing?
(Sorry Gen and Ral.)
More fun posts and pictures to come!

The boys are certainly seasoned travelers! The ground hog hotline went berserk warning all others to stay away...Josh is home! Enjoy your time! Love and miss you all!
