Our summer kicked off with a wonderful visit from my brother Jake, his wife Shelby and their three adorable girls! We had such a great time getting to know the girls better...and learning all about how different three sisters can be from a group of four brothers! :-)
We took them to see some of the local spots of beauty.
I had such fun getting to love on all three of these precious nieces...but "Little Cam" seemed to latch on to "Big Kam" and we were rarely apart during the week!
(Jack loves to photo bomb!)
Josh and Jake battled in the final round of game of Spoons....cheered on by their kids!
As started when Logan was here, we had another "cousin dance party"!
We took a day trip to Navajo Lake and had the entire thing to ourselves! But the extreme wind made it difficult to truly enjoy the inflatable canoes and a picnic lunch. We had fun anyway!
With two families full of readers, there was a LOT of reading going on! That's our kind of vacation! Our two hammocks seemed to be favorite spots!
Most of our week together was spent in our back yard. We had picnic lunches...
....water balloon fights....
...water balloon baseball...whiffle ball tournaments....
...and lots of Hot Wheels play! (The boys were so pleased that their girl cousins wanted to play Hot Wheels!)
There were also leisurely afternoons of drawing and list-making.......and more reading....
....and the kids' favorite activity of the week, reading on the roof....
...and more reading....
A wonderful week for all of us! Thanks Jake and Shelby and girls for such a fun visit! Come back again soon!
