Ohio to Texas to Arizona!

We are finally in Phoenix, after a few days/weeks of travelling and recovering from the flu. Jack did extremely well on his first plane trip....he was mesmerized by the activity around the plane just before takeoff and landing and even got a wave and smile from one of the crew members loading bags outside!
We had about a week in San Antonio to visit with Jake and Sarah and to see our brother-in-law Shane graduate from Air Force Basic Training. We are so proud of Shane! Unfortunately, we didn't get to participate in many of the festivities because of the flu, but we were able to take Raleigh and Shane to our favorite Mexican restaurant in San Antonio - Pico de Gallo - and celebrate Shane's birthday. Jack always loves restaurants and the activity around him, and that night he was an extra ham bone making his new funny expression when he tastes something sour and gets a laugh!
Since we've been in Phoenix, we've had a chance to meet the two newest members of our family: cousin Tessa and cousin Mia....both as precious as can be. Jack and Tessa took a nap together on their first day together...

...and then had some fun with a pumpkin later in the week! (Okay, maybe Tessa didn't have so much fun!)

We are happy to be visiting with family as we wait for word about Josh heading to Qatar. There are a few paperwork details being worked out now, but we will be sure to keep you all posted!

I am just getting the chance to go back and read all of everyones blogs. Jack eating the lemon was so cute, his face made me laugh out loud. That is so awesome that you were able to be there for Shane's graduation. I am sure that was very special to him! The pumpkin pictures were very funny too! Tessa looked like she hated it and Jack looked so excited! He is so cute!
