Today our Jack turns 2 years old! He had quite an adventurous second year of life and we've seen him grow in so many ways. He runs and jumps and dances all over the place....he loves to color and draw circles and the wheels on cars...he LOVES playing with other kids and having friends of his own...and he is now in the role of big brother to baby George - a role he is doing very well at.
We were able to celebrate his birthday on Monday when Grammy (or now "Tutu Wahine" as we call her!) was still here with us. We had a picnic party at the beach with a few of our new friends. There were a few mishaps...it was so windy we didn't even attempt to light a birthday candle and his little cake fell on the way to the table, so it was a little sloppy. But he had a lot of fun.
Later at home Jack opened a few presents: a Mr. Potato Head from Tutu (which he kept close by as he ate his pizza) and a firefighter costume. The next morning we brought out his new tricycle...which of course he loves!
Thank you to Grammy and all of the others who helped us celebrate...near and far! We love you and miss you all!
