Our Christmas was a simple one this year and stretched out over three days. On Christmas Eve we celebrated long distance with our Arizona family via Skype, went to the beach at night and had Lappert's ice cream...a local specialty. Josh worked on Christmas day, so the boys and I celebrated with some dear friends at a Christmas open house. The hosts had a beautiful Hawaiian (Norfolk pine) Christmas tree in their living room...something we'd like to have next year. Jack had fun playing with several of his buddies...even having a tea party with Rosie!
We had our Christmas morning on the 26th. Jack was more than ready to open his presents...he got some special things from his grandparents and a big CARS garage from us. George fell asleep with a new stuffed bear. Afterward, we went to the Wailua river so Josh could test out his newly rented paddle board...something he has been waiting to do since we arrived in September. After a few initial wobbles, he took to it like a pro!
We have some cute photos and special memories of George's first Christmas. In keeping with tradition, we put him in the oversized stocking...he liked it as much as Jack did two years ago! I included both pictures for a comparison. George was equally unhappy wearing a Christmas hat and booties...but Jack was happy to oblige!
We hope you all had a blessed Christmas...and that those of you on the East coast are staying safe and warm amidst the blizzards! Wish we could send along some of our warmth to thaw you out!

You as a family may have been away and slightly homesick but the photos give reason to celebrate with the blessing of family God has given you. Tutu's boys look so cute and busy! Love and miss you all...continue to enjoy the place where you are for this season!
Merry Christmas Meyer Family! We love and miss you from afar!
Merry Christmas!!! We miss you guys so much! Looks like a wonderful Christmas, building memories and traditions all your own!
Oh my word, so cute!! Jack is getting so big and I could just eat George's little round face! Miss and love you all.
Jack is probably still having a blast playing with that garage! He looked pretty amazed with how it worked. It's such a joy to see them experiencing things for the first time that we have come to take for granted.
