Our baby boy is seven months old today! We've had a busy month...and our baby has been one busy baby!
New things this month:
- George got a new toy - a circus-themed Exersaucer that he LOVES! He is already at the tallest level and loves bouncing around 360 degrees to follow us around the house
- He went swimming for the first time and LOVED the water...just like he loves the bath water
- Though not crawling officially, he is extremely mobile. If I put him on his back, within moments he is on his stomach and has wiggled 180 degrees around and about 4-5 feet from where I originally placed him. He gets frustrated when he can't get to something of Jack's and is starting to put his rear end up in the air and rock...so crawling isn't far away!
- FINALLY he enjoys eating some solid foods! His favorites are sweet potatoes, squash, peas, and bananas all mixed with a little rice cereal. He does not like rice cereal plain or peaches.
- Like all others in this family, George loves books. He loves story time at night and holding his own book. (Check the pictures closely to see what George was "reading" this month!)
- We are definitely in a new stage of clingy-ness. George wants Mama just about all the time and is more than happy to give people huge, welcoming smiles while in her arms...but the moment someone (other than Daddy) tries to hold him, he fixes his eyes on Mama with a pitiful little half smile cry until he is safely back in her arms!
- We haven't weighed or measured him this month, but he is still comfortably in twelve month clothes
We love our Georgie so much and he brings us such joy! Today he had the "stares" after waking up from his nap, looking out the window with a blank expression from his Exersaucer. But as soon as he realized I was looking at him, his somber look broke into a gigantic smile and a squeal of delight escaped his lips! I laughed out loud. These kinds of moments happen every day with our little guy! Thank you, Lord, for the gift of George in our lives!
