Okay...we know there are some pretty big George fans out there, so here is a post just for you!!! (Grams included!:-) )
On April 14th, our littlest one hit the 18 month mark. Glancing back through the last six months of photos, we are amazed at how much he has changed! He is losing more and more of his baby-ness and looking more like a big boy! (But don't let that fool you - he still needs his Mama in a big way!)
George's main likes:
- Watermelon
- Otter Pops
- playing cars or with his Schleich animals
- swimming
- when Daddy is home from work
- pointing out different seed pods and flowers on our nature walks
- sleeping next to Mama
- reading books
- taking walks or drives and looking at all the new things to see
- wrestling with Jack and Daddy
- watching the sparrows and stray kitty that are frequent visitors to our porch
George's dislikes:
- GLUTEN (still affects him negatively)
- milk (in a cup)
- when Mommy sits down at the desk
- being hot and sweaty
- covers
- when Jack refuses to share his toys
- when Daddy has a three-day stretch at work (this is on all of our dislikes lists!)
- brushing his teeth/getting his nails clipped/having his diaper changed
- having the kids at the orphanage rush up to him and kiss him right when we arrive!
He is saying lots of words now - in his own way - and often tries to have entire conversations. Some of his most understandable and consistent words:
- Mama/Da
- Ja- (Jack)
- ball, book, bird, bug (amazingly enough, even though they are all b- words, they each sound unique!)
- butt (said when he poops)
- na (no)
- numna (when he wants to be nursed)
- nigh-nigh
- wa-wa (water)
And some of our favorite phrases:
- "Where'd it go?" (with the "go" drawn out and his lips in a tight circle!)
- "Be right back" (said with his index finger held up as he turns to go get something)
For the most part, George is a happy-go-lucky little guy with smiles aplenty! He loves to stay busy and follow after Jack in whatever he is doing. Despite his tendency to imitate Jack, he is definitely his own little personality and often gets Jack into hysterics with his silly antics!
George has pretty much evened off with his height/weight. He is 32 1/2 inches tall, 24.8 lbs and is still in 18 month clothes. We think he has shorter legs than Jack, because 18 month shorts hang down on him, but he's almost outgrowing 18 month shirts! (P.S. Thanks Grammie Barb for the cute outfits....seen at the end of the video montage!)
We wish you all could see George is person - and take joy in all of his uniqueness! He is a special boy and draws many, many people to our family because of his friendliness and those big brown eyes! (He is already a little missionary, just like Jack was at this age in Qatar!)
We are thankful for our little one and honored that the Lord would choose us to be his parents! We could never imagine life without him!

So precious, I could just squeeze the computer when he is saying "go", so stinking cute! Cute haircut too Georgie. We miss you and love you!
I can't believe how much his face has changed in the last 6 months. The montage ended and Mia asked for more Georgie!
Tessa watched this and put her hands on her hips and said "that's my Georgie". She still asks for them daily. We miss you mucho!
