Sight seeing with Grammy!

Though we have lots of happy days at home where we relax and enjoy loving on our new baby, we've been able to see a few of Kaua'i's beautiful sights with Mom. She loves it here and it is so fun to see her enjoy the beauty of God's creation all around us!

One of the first places we took Mom to was Spouting Horn - where at high tide, water pushes up through a lava tube creating a large horn of spray. It is pretty neat. We had a few rainy days this past week...the start of the winter season here in Hawaii. Jack LOVES the rain and gets very hyper when he sees it start to pour down. The other day we let him run out in the rain and he ended up "washing" the car and getting soaking wet.
We took George for his first day at the beach this week. He slept through it all, snug in his sling next to Mommy! Mom enjoyed collecting tiny shells and pieces of coral.
George is doing well...eating and sleeping a lot and having lots of cute moments of quiet alertness! We had a check up on Friday and he weighs 9 lbs 7 oz! That means in ten days, he gained 21 ounces! Nice and healthy!

Today we took a drive to the north shore to see the Kilauea Lighthouse. It is breath taking - a beautiful view of the ocean (and in winter, migrating Humpback whales!) and has lots of shore birds to observe. Jack's new favorite word is "whale", which he spotted on the sign!

More pictures to come! We have some other fun things planned for Mom on Josh's three days off this week!
Hugs from Hawaii!
